Hamilton Poetry Centre

Hamilton Poetry Centre runs a monthly Workshop Series. All welcome – poets and poetry lovers! This is a great opportunity to receive thoughtful peer feedback on your poems in progress, or just enjoy joining in the discussion. We meet at the Westdale Library on the third Thursday of most months, (generally a December rest), from 5:00 to 6:45.

Please join us for our next in-person workshop on Thursday May 15th ( in the program room of the Westdale Library. The Westdale library now closes at 7 p.m., therefore the workshops are being held from 5 p.m. util 6:45 p.m. Poems are read in the order they are received.

We welcome those who have not attended the HPC before.  Please bring a poem (no longer than one page). It is helpful to have copies to share with the group (12-15 suggested). The workshop leader will lead a friendly discussion of the poem and we ask that the writer refrain from commenting on his or her poem until the end of the discussion.
