I HEAR MUSIC

by Stella Mazur Preda
Ontario, Canada

the music soars
the body sways
behind closed eyelids
colours dance and swirl

the piccolo flits on the wind
giggles in delight
the violin partners with the bow
waltzing romance into eyes of night
piano keys ripple and flow
waves washing on white beaches
the snare drum whispers
eerily haunting melodies

I hear music ...
body and soul
