These feelings are expressed
in the hands that I place on your body,
in the events I plan for you,
the food I cook for you.
They drift among the clothes
scattered on our floor;
they are tangled among the plants
that grow by the windows:
such magnificent emotions
caught among the debris
of a life lived with another.
