Maple, by Pat Kozowyk

Intimate Spaces

by Eleanore Kosydar

Five naked, well-muscled limbs stretch,
touch the sky.
Dancers’ legs, sprung
from a single
well-screened
torso.

Their intimate divide
open wide
to the sweet caress of air,
the prurient stare.

An unprivate niche
wherein the fallen may gather,
share their fervid secrets
and dreams.

In twilight chill, the bare limbs shiver
and stretch.
