Georgian Bay Sunset, Janusz Wrobel*

LIGHT

by Marianne Vespry

Sometimes, it’s about the light

Midday we forget the light
see our stuff, our world, ourselves
everywhere things colours textures
eye-full, brain-full, more more

Sunset light withdraws
to linger in sky and water
turns horizon to a line
trees and isles to silhouettes

Light leaving bleeds dimension
bleeds essence.   Light returning
animates, proliferates, stampedes us
We live on light, grow into light

It’s always about the light
