DARK JANUARY

by Trevor Camp
Ontario, Canada

No painting, print nor poem.
A month of noncreation.
No stencil, sketch nor sculpture.
A month of art stagnation.

At least I did have food
for body and for mind.
Music on the stereo,
books of every kind.

February comes at last;
the muse returns from flight.
The paintbrush starts to twitch;
the pen begins to write.
