NOCTURNE

by OmahaRisinG

sleep in beauty, my love
transpose gentle spirit
and float moonlight
into an open soul
blind me to wild stress
that devours your serenity
make me religious in the face
of smooth untroubled repose

I slide into your secret realm
embrace need as I wrap you
encircle our unity of being
reluctant consciousness
deserts this easy body
lured by new warmth

we sleep symphonic love
conducting mingled legs
hands hold breathing
a concert of dreams
that quietly respire
within the fabric
of night desire

wakening to music
my heart slowly absorbs
what the dawn always knew
this is where the passage
of true feeling plays you
