everything comes together here
the always sliding flow of water
the timeless strength of land
the caress of air alive

drawn from opposite poles we sit silent
bound in the inactivity
of fishing

the baggage of places and times
has been discarded
the distinction between action and inaction
no longer exists

any fish that may lie cool and low
unattracted by the flutter of bait
is only important as
symboldreamillusion

blacks and whites swirl with colour
real and unreal slip into the spiritual of fishing
toward the touch of perfection
as everything comes
together
