Artwalk POETRY and ART

Ferns, by Janusz Wrobel*

Ferns

by Errol R. Anderson

Fiddleheads softly unfurl a symphony
in the early morning sunlight
eliciting the last remnant of fog
to swirl eerily between your angry stalks.
The brilliance of your emerald green fronds
emulates life in a dense undergrowth and
you pay homage to giant oaks standing guard.
Confined and restricted to areas less appealing
your numbers defy time and space.
Though overshadowed
your place in history and art cannot be denied.
Slowly the sunshine creeps in but you
embrace the darkness
for in it you find your security.
