another pour
of weekend cottage tea
I pause to ponder
an everyday glimpse of life

distant lake freighters and crew
slowly move a product to market

or is it possible this view
is a disguised canvas border
of a cleverly framed painting

you decide

a couple of my flowers
are curious enough
to bend around the corner
joining in on my focal point

if flowers are truly gifted
in tune to my every thought
then tell this
what am I thinking
right now
