SHADOW BOXING

by Ed Woods

what an expanding view
as we glide in to land
on this shadowed grid marker
floating to a soft fluttered stop
for a perfect staging feast

a momentary Indian Summer
sunset centered angles of a
Canada Geese landing system
planned and planted
for protection and brilliant coloration
by those unaware of our timely use
or one of nature's appreciated pleasure
